The observation is interesting to a brand audience. The transient localization of lectins and ubiquitination within endosomes as markers of membrane damages upon virus entry is highly relevant and it raises questions related to the mechanism involved that remain to be addressed. Considering the hypothesis proposed, it is not clear how the endosomes are cleared. Authors do not see LC3 at early time points, what about later (1-2hrs)? Quid of the ATGs? The pathway of degradation has to be clearly explained in order to justify the "endosomophagy" term.
